Armistice Day

Armistice Day is commemorated on 11th November each year in Belgium. On a deeper level: how can war turn into peace? In Mosul, IS cut out the strings of musical instruments and used them in booby-traps.
An old Egyptian legend tells us the reverse. After Typhon (Seth) killed Osiris, the god Hermes cut out the sinews of Typhon and used them as strings for his lyre thereby instructing us that concord can be created out of discordant elements. (Plutarch, De Iside et Osiride)
